Ay Tee Emm (white, red and green colours) got the cash in last month's Crown Perth Handicap at Ascot Racecourse

Punting Form race reports: Wednesday 12 February

According to Punting Form, it will take a career-best performance from Ay Tee Emm's Devil's Lair Handicap rivals to take out Wednesday's sixth race at Ascot Racecourse if the Jayne Busslinger-trained gelding reproduces his last effort.

Ay Tee Emm registered a Punting Form rating 8.2 lengths better than benchmark in winning the Crown Perth Handicap, proving his first-up run in which he beat the standardised figure despite a moderate tempo was not a fluke. Ay Tee Emm's two-year Punting Form personal best is 2.4l superior to his next best credentialled Devil's Lair Handicap opponent, Star Glitter, and the top weight reunites with Busslinger's stable apprentice, Kristy Bennett, so he gets the benefit of the young rider's three-kilogram claim. Star Glitter is a big class dropper and there are other dangers but, if Ay Tee Emm runs 8.2l better than benchmark on Wednesday, his rivals are going to have to pull out something special to win.
