Essential Spice and Chris Graham are set to reunite at Ascot Racecourse in Saturday's Seacorp Handicap

Punting Form race reports: Saturday 18 January

Apprentice rider Chris Graham steered Essential Spice to an Ascot Racecourse win in December and, according to TABtouch blog columnist Scott Embry, the Northern Irish jockey and the Pearce Racing-trained Australian mare are likely to combine for another victory when they contest Saturday's Seacorp Handicap on Miss Andretti Stakes/Family Day.

According to Punting Form, Essential Spice did not need to be at her brilliant best when she carried Graham to take out last month's D'Orsogna Handicap at Ascot Racecourse but she will need her A-game ability to maintain her 100 per cent record in tandem with Pearce Racing's apprentice. Essential Spice was no match for Fabergino in the Furphy-Summer Scorcher on TABtouch Perth Cup Day at Ascot Racecourse but she produced what was close to her peak performance in the eyes of Punting Form and Embry approves of the decision of her connections to book Graham for her Saturday assignment.
