Wanna Be Good (black and orange colours) is set to compete for the second time in five days

Punting Form race reports: Wednesday 20 November

Lindsey Smith is as smart as he is funny and that he is backing up Wanna Be Good in Wednesday's Vale Lindsay Rudland Handicap just four days after her fast-finishing run in a much higher graded race feels like a tip in itself and that is before you review Punting Form's numbers from her Saturday performance.

According to Punting Form, Wanna Be Good's last 600 metres over 1,000m on Saturday was 11.4 lengths faster than its national benchmark and she registered an overall rating 4.4 better than the standarised level. Obviously, Wanna Be Good has not taken any ill effects out of Saturday's contest otherwise she would not be among Wednesday's starters and she would probably be a very warm favourite if she had not drawn the outside gate. Wanna Be Good's two-year Punting Form personal best is the best of the Vale Lindsay Rudland Handicap field and she recorded it in being beaten three lengths by Undisclosed on Saturday.
