From the 20 elites who formed the Western Australian Turf Club in 1852 to the 2,000 people from all walks of life who are invested in Perth Racing today, The Members as a group has always been - and always will be - the number one contributor to the organisation's past, present and future.

50 People Who Made The WATC - 1. The Members

From the 20 elites who formed the Western Australian Turf Club in 1852 to the 2,000 people from all walks of life who are invested in Perth Racing today, The Members as a group has always been - and always will be - the number one contributor to the organisation's past, present and future.

A club is nothing without its members and every single one of them over the course of the last 167 years has helped make the WATC. One of the club's longest concurrent members, Willem Prins, represented the active membership at the 2019 Kirin-Railway Stakes barrier draw. A continuous member since 1978 and the grandfather of two Kirin-Railway Stakes jockeys, Jarrad and Jerry Noske, Prins assisted Kirin executive Michael Galpin on stage.

We hope you have enjoyed the 50 People Who Made The WATC series.
