Trakiato won first up over 1,200 metres at Belmont Park in May 2018

Punting Form race reports: Wednesday 26 June

Trakiato registered his Punting Form personal best first up over 1,200 metres at Belmont Park this time last year and the Pearce Racing galloper is set to contest Wednesday's Amelia Park Handicap fresh over the same course and distance.

Chloe Azzopardi will have to steer Trakiato well from one of the outside gates but he tends to race close to the speed and, according to Punting Form, the new duo should be able to slot in somewhere near the front. Trakiato's two-year Punting Form personal best is the third fastest in the Amelia Park Handicap field but none of his Wednesday opponents can match his 1,200m figure of -5.3 lengths.
