Acermetric registered his Punting Form personal best in defeat four weeks ago at Ascot Racecourse and he looks well placed to springboard off that sound effort to take out the Heineken 3 Handicap at the same venue on Wednesday.
Drawn 12th of 12 in last month's Schweppes Handicap, Acermetric had to work hard in the early stages to position himself in the breeze and, after the pace did not slow down, he treaded water in the Ascot Racecourse straight to finish fourth, one and a half lengths behind swooping winner Decoy Noxious. Burger Time was second in the Schweppes Handicap and he won the Bunbury Cup on his next start so the form has stood up, Acermetric maps well in the Heineken 3 Handicap and his astute trainer, Justine Erkelens, has booked two-kilogram claimer Kate Witten.
