Responsible for the fastest last 200 metres sectional in each of his last three races, Without Reason ran a rating just before his Punting Form personal best when winning over 1,800m at Ascot Racecourse two weeks ago. Punting Form's data shows Without Reason did it at both ends of that 1,800m event and so there are grounds for thinking he will handle stepping up to 2,200m in his sixth start this campaign. Apparition, Mackenzie Brooke and Alluring finished well behind Without Reason last time out and, while Lady Sass has won each of her two races since resuming in February, she is yet to prove herself beyond 1,500m.
