Paddy's Shadow won over Ascot Racecourse's 1,600 metres three weeks ago and, after having no luck from a wide gate in a subsequent Saturday 1,800m event, she has a favourite's chance of returning to winning ways when she lines up in the Little Creatures Handicap over the metric mile again on Wednesday.
According to Punting Form, Paddy's Shadow put up her best-ever effort last time out but she contested the Furphy Handicap from the car park 11 days ago and, in what was a high-rating race for its class, she ended up three lengths behind the winner, Crystal Valley. Punting Form rated that performance several lengths better than the one that Paddy's Shadow produced to win two starts ago when she made a mess of her Morley Growers Market Handicap rivals, including Lucky Linda Lulu.
