Worth Square (obscured behind Market Ruler) strikes a softer assignment in Saturday’s D'Orsogna Plate
Worth Square may have to beat two previous winners to take out the D'Orsogna Plate at Belmont Park on Saturday but, according to Punting Form, his personal best is a couple of lengths better than any of his two-year-old opponents.
Trevor Andrews elected to scratch Worth Square from a winnable Wednesday race to send him round on Saturday and, from gate one under Shaun McGruddy, he is Punting Form's idea of the D'Orsogna Plate favourite because his fastest figure is 1.9 lengths superior to that of Fingermark, which triumphed two starts ago, with highly touted gallopers Kelly's Callisto and Shapita a length or two further back.
