Rock Magic winning the 2017 D'Orsogna-Roma Cup at Ascot Racecourse
Defending champion Rock Magic is a worthy TABtouch fixed odds favourite for Saturday's D'Orsogna Family-Roma Cup at Ascot Racecourse, according to the Punting Form report pertaining to the Group Three contest over 1,200 metres.
Rock Magic's two-year personal best on Punting Form's numbers is the best in the D'Orsogna Family-Roma Cup field by one-fifth of a length from that of Achernar Star but the former achieved his rating over 1,200m and the latter posted his over 1,800 metres. Rock Magic is set to line up 57 days on from his high-rating effort in the William Reid Stakes at Moonee Valley, a 1,200m sprint that was run at a Group One-standard tempo, particularly in the first half of the all-star event.
