500 parking bays sold out within 36 hours of going on sale.
Perth Racing has confirmed that currently allocated pre-paid parking at Belmont Park has SOLD OUT for the Big Bash League Semi Final this Thursday, February 1st.
500 parking bays sold out within 36 hours of going on sale.
The Town of Victoria Park consented to initially support 500 bays being available during major events to allow the traffic management situation to be monitored and adjusted by the Department of Transport, Main Roads and Town of Victoria Park.
This consent was provided as an interim measure until the formal opening of the footbridge from East Perth.
The Town of Victoria Park have stated that if this initiative is successful, 900 parking bays will be supported.
Perth Racing wishes to offer a greater number of bays on a pre-paid basis and is seeking clarity on this matter,” said Perth Racing Managing Director, Professor John Yovich.
Parking at Belmont Park went very smoothly last Sunday for the One Day International, with customers able to exit conveniently and rapidly and we look forward to working with Government and other parties to resolve this,” Yovich said.
To encourage early entry on Thursday, stadium organisers are offering a discount food voucher to the first 15,000 patrons in to the stadium by 3pm.
In line with changed traffic conditions, entry to the Belmont Park is at Balbuk way, which is past the entrance to the Racecourse and over Victoria Park Drive.
Gates open at Belmont Park from 8.00am on Thursday, February 1st for pre-purchased parking receipt holders only.
