Matty... riding a winner at his traffic light party.

Matty Kelly's Traffic Light Party: Ascot - Saturday 27 January

Expected Weather: 29 degrees. Winds doing plenty again.

Expected Track Rating: Good 4

Rail position: 6m

Green Light (Best of the day): R4/N2 ROYAL COMMAND ($1.80) - Bet with TabTouch

Don't normally tag an odds-on pop as the best of the day, but apart from Gee Boss in the last, nothing comes close to this fella.

Comes out of a really good form race that has seen Oliver’s Travels (twice) and A Knight Of Pro win since.

Pike rides from good gate… the only way he doesn’t win is if the race doesn’t get run.

WATCH - ROYAL COMMAND LAST START

Amber Light (Best double figure play): R3/N3 - SATURIA ($11) - Bet with TabTouch

Draw stings, 1100m a query and overall time for 1000m win at Pinjarra last start wasn’t flash, but she matched Epic Grey and Dynamite Dream last prep, and holds a fitness edge over both here.

In fact, she’s the fittest in this, and after parking on speed, can be in it for quite a long way.

Caption: Saturia gets the better of Epic Grey at Belmont on August 12.

Red Light (Lay of the Day): R3/N8 - SUPREME FORCE ($3.20) - Bet with TabTouch

Expensive yearling purchase that trialled very nicely, but on debut, against five in this (at the very least) that aren’t goats, I’d just prefer to watch than wager.

WATCH - SUPREME FORCE TRIAL ON JANUARY 2

Watch For Pedestrians (Jockey to follow): WILLIAM PIKE

Seems an obvious choice but Pike could ride the first four winners on the card - every one of them is race favourite. Bon Voyage and Sweet Ora look reasonable chances later in the day as well.

Whatever Pikey doesn’t win, Chris Parnham could (Princess Pierro, Classical Prince, Gee Boss). Both boys look like having an absolute day out.

Slippery When Wet (Omen bet of the day): R8/N2 - MORE ACES ($21) - Bet With Tabtouch

Goes without saying doesn’t it, with the tennis finals on?

Do A Pataky goes around in the 2yo event (R2/N10), and Chris Hemsworth’s missus Elsa Pataky has been on the front cover of pretty much every chick magazine for about the last four years.

Not that I read any of them.

Is that what they mean by Do A Pataky?

Okay, leaving that one alone. Seey’all at next week’s party.

- Matty.
