“Locally born interstate raider, Black Heart Bart was bought for just $20,000 and won almost $4 million. With 5 Group One wins already notched up, he may well be in for a sixth win this coming weekend. It’s Somewhat has also quickly become one of the favourites after winning the Belmont Park trial last week, so I’m excited to see how he goes as a Group 1 contender.”

But it’s not just the eager punters in for a treat this weekend with visitors encouraged to bring the whole family to enjoy a fun and relaxed afternoon with entertainment for all ages.

Due to popular demand Perth Racing is releasing $30 picnic spots with shade, table and chairs and gate entry included, perfect for groups of 4 and more. They are the best spot trackside with plenty of shade and dedicated picnic area on the Leger Lawn.

“And for those opting to leave the kids at home, we would encourage them to consider The Podium, event, showcasing food masterpieces from both Perth Racing and Fraser’s Events & Catering for a race day experience like no other,” he said.
