4 CAIPIRINHA first-up run disappointing but quality mare worth another chance. Second-up numbers solid.
5 LOCKROY rarely runs a bad race. Finished hard behind Salorsci last start.
6 WOODBINE has had just one run in 18-months and pulled-up lame. Would be close to miracle if scored here.

3 IHTSAHYMN consistent Group performer returning from a month off. 1400m short of his best but should perform well.
4 DISPOSITION class animal that was too good at Listed level at Kalgoorlie. Should be fitter for that effort and maps to get a nice run. Fourth in this race last year.
5 WHISPERING BROOK much better effort second-up when just off Silverstream. Drawn well in two and should get every chance.
6 GREAT SHOT honest return in Birthday Stakes. Up in distance suits but barrier 12 makes things tricky.
7 CHOCOLATE HOLIC scratched.
8 COSMIC STORM returns for the first time since December when won the G3 La Trice. Never won at the distance but is A-Grade mare and has Pike aboard.
9 METEOROID just held out Silverstream in Birthday Day Stakes. Expect little will separate them here again.
10 TRADESMAN quality galloper resuming. Expect will be getting back and running home well.
11 SALORSCI four-year-old on the rise. Returned with gritty win in 72 grade at Belmont. This is a big step up but looks capable enough.

1 BATTLE TORQUE gutsy win last start at Belmont. Will need luck from barrier but W.Pike should ensure that occurs.
2 COME ON BOARD willing to forgive last start failure. Was consistent in six runs over the mile previous to that.
3 GOLGOTHA good effort behind Battle Torque a month ago and has run well in two starts since.
4 JUST LIKE FIRE ran like a horse wanting further ground when 4L off Star Value. Gets it here and speed looks good so no excuses here.
5 DEFIANCY good effort when just missed behind Trap For Fools at York. This is much tougher but looks an each-way hope.
6 LET’S TWIST raced without luck when 4L off Sonnen. Down in grade but has drawn wide again.
7 REEF KEEPER sped along up front then fell away to finish 8L off Jetoomy. Controls the tempo again here one would think.
8 SLICK TALKER just whacked away late in 4L defeat to Entrechat. Would need to find here to figure.
9 TIME TO HUNT good run when a neck off Taxadermy at Belmont. Third-up now so striking peak fitness and well drawn in four. Should go close.
10 KIA ORA STAR made good ground late at Bunbury behind Trap For Fools. Building nicely to the 1800m now.
11 JAZARI a half-length of Balmontgomery in much easier grade. Place chance best.
12 PLAIN VITAL worked home well behind Taxadermy on 4 October. Will need to improve, and can third-up, but still looks tested here.
13 SIRIUS PROSPECT led Taxadermy before being swallowed up at Belmont on 11 October. Drawn pole but midfield finish looks best.
14 THE KARNUP KID finished 4L off Barzinho when resuming. Prefer others here.
