WA superstars among 18 G1 winners nominated for TABtouch Masters

Black Heart Bart, Scales Of Justice and Vega Magic are among the 18 Group One winners that feature in the nominations for the three $1,000,000 races of The TABtouch Masters – the James Boag’s Premium-Railway Stakes, the Crown Perth-Winterbottom Stakes and the Magic Millions-Kingston Town Classic.

Five-time Group One winner Black Heart Bart preceded last season’s James Boag’s Premium-Railway Stakes champion, Scales Of Justice, as Western Australia’s Horse of the Year. They are just two of the 10 Group One winners in the James Boag’s Premium-Railway Stakes nominations, with the others being Egg Tart, Good Project, Ihtsahymn, It’s Somewhat, Perfect Reflection, Redkirk Warrior, Silent Sedition and Single Gaze

Vega Magic, which has won two Group One contests since switching from the Western Australian stable of Sean Casey to the Victorian yard of David Hayes, Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig, headlines the Crown Perth-Winterbottom Stakes nominations that include fellow top-level victors Hey Doc, Impending, Malaguerra, Redkirk Warrior, Santa Ana Lane, Sheidel, The Quarterback and defending title holder Takedown as well.

The Magic Millions-Kingston Town Classic nominations feature the same 10 Group One winners as the James Boag’s Premium-Railway Stakes list, while there is a strong line-up of intrastate and interstate contenders for the Sky Racing-WA Guineas for three-year-olds that is worth $500,000 and carries Group Two status.

“Perth Racing is delighted with not only the quantity and quality of The TABtouch Masters nominations but also their geographical spread. One hundred and nine of the 222 nominations for the club’s three Group One races are trained outside Western Australia and that demonstrates the pulling power of an event of which there’s none like it anywhere else, “ said Mark Worwood, Racing and Wagering Manager of Perth Racing.

“Under starter’s orders on 25 November, The TABtouch Masters is the world’s only single-track thoroughbred racing festival featuring a Group One race worth at least $1,000,000 on three consecutive Saturdays.”
