1 RIDERS IN THE SKY resumes here following winning trial at Belmont (Aug 14). Looks tested.
2 COLOURFUL CHARADE produced solid 1000m trial win at Belmont (Sept 18). Showed plenty of ability as a 2yo including a third behind Lucy Mae in February. Can return a winner here.
3 CONICAL PEAK struggled in three runs in the winter. Has trialled nicely since but would surprise here.
4 FORK HANDLES was four-lengths second behind Splash when on debut at Toodyay (Sept 23). Was very green but ran home well and can figure here from barrier two.
5 ANNE BOLEYN debut third to Miss Planet back in June looked promising. Has trialled nicely since and is in the mix.
6 LIGHT THE FUSE first-up no trial after just the two runs in the autumn. Hard to see placing.
7 GOODLUCK SIMBA scratched.
8 STAGEMAN debuts following one trial win at Lark Hill over 950m (Sept 26). Looks to have ability and Pike rides from barrier six.
9 ENACTMENT led first-up at Northam before fading to finish sixth. Will be better for the run and can dictate from inside gate.
10 COME ON OVER resumes off soft 1000m trial win at Belmont (Sept 18) when beat home subsequent winner Action. Has to contend with outside alley though.
11 MIGHTY QUICK debuts following fours trials, the most recent a one-length fourth off Rules Of Justice.

Race 2 – 2.34pm Snow McKeown Handicap (1,650m) - Bet with TABtouch
1 HE’S A PARKER third consecutive run at 1650m after a fighting win last start. Likely to need a touch of luck from barrier eight, but is in form.
2 ROJO CALOR may have ran his race in the barriers when 11th of 11 last start. Should improve second-up but prefer place chance.
3 COME PLAY WITH ME produced wide run late to break maiden at Northam. Steps up from 1300m to 1650m but breeding suggests likely to suit better.
4 ROYAL STRATA couldn’t sprint with Athlete or Money Maher in two previous runs this campaign. Will find this easier and inside alley helps.
5 SCINTILLATING back and wide yet still ran home strongly last start when runner-up to Action (Sept 27). Third-up here and should be closing in on peak fitness.
6 THE BIG SHOW has stuck on well in two runs this campaign. Gate three should ensure a trouble free passage and is ready for 1650m now.
7 ROCK OR BUST couldn’t match He’s A Parker in the run to the post last time around. Hard to see turning the tables. Place chance at best.
8 OUR GIRL MARLI produced an even performance at Toodyay last start, but will find this tougher.

Race 3 – 3.10 Hahn Superdry Handicap (2,000m) - Bet with TABtouch
1 QUICK REFLECTS was brave when holding off late challengers to break maiden Northam last start. Hasn’t run at the trip but sire won a Cox Plate over similar distance (So You Think). Should be thereabouts.
2 BALMONTGOMERY looked out of gas but then came again over last 100m when fifth behind Battle Torque last start (Sept 16). Strips fitter second-up.
3 TYSON FIGHT had excuses two starts back when handy fourth at Kalgoorlie. Was never a hope due to slow pace last time around. Place claims.
4 JAZARI was narrowly defeated last start by Calibra (Sept 27) when running home along the rail. Is back in grade here and looks the one to beat.
5 ABSOLUTE MAGIC solid last start when third to Wavehill Spur. Has improved in each of her three runs this campaign and shapes as one of the main chances.
6 ONE WORD REVIEW was disappointing last start when seven-lengths off Detroit Diesel. Hard to have.
7 ARMOURER showed guts last start at Toodyay, when sat on hot speed and then left to take up the running at 600m, when leader came back in lap. Is still a maiden, but Pike jumps on board.
8 LOSING TICKET came from last to score having been favoured by that aforementioned tempo in Armourer race. Drawn better than that horse here, but suffers 2kg weight swing.
9 I’M A LOVE MAN has found the going tough in two runs back from a spell, and likely to find this too difficult.
10 NO PLACE TO HIDE has been competitive in all four runs this time in but is drawn 10 of 10 and place chance looks best.

Race 4 – 3:45 Ascot Racing Carnival Book Now Handicap (1,650m) - Bet with TABtouch
1 CELTIC WIZARD drew wide and had no luck at all last start, running up backsides the whole way up the straight. Fortunes can change now and should be given every chance from gate two.
2 TAXADERMY was caught wide but still proved too strong last start at Northam (Sept 25). Should be at the top of his game fitness wise, but outside alley is a slight concern.
3 COSMAH DOMINATION improved significantly first-up to second-up when third last start at Toodyay. Getting to right trip now third-up and looks a threat. Drawn in nine though.
4 IRON BOSS suffered interference at crucial stage last start at Belmont (Sept 23). Run prior to that was smart when third behind Tycoon Target. Up to the mile for the first time in a year but can bounce back from barrier one.
5 MY KIND OF MUSIC has just battled away in three runs this campaign. Prefer others.
6 BOUTIQUE was fourth behind Taxadermy last start off a much softer run. Enjoys light weight swing and better gate here, but hard to see turning tables on that galloper. Place claims.
7 NOIR DE RUE broke maiden with smart win in small field over 1400m at Kalgoorlie (Sept 17). Bred to appreciate the extra distance and barrier three is ideal.
8 PLAIN VITAL needed the run first-up behind Lorentinio. Likely to need this as well with second-up record reading no win or place from four starts.
9 PURIST modest return when fifth of 10 at Toodyay (Sept 23). Sure to have come on from that run but expect will be outpointed here again.
10 TORTE CAPRESE hasn’t placed since winning in December and expect that to continue here.

Race 5 – 4:20 Hosemasters Handicap (1,200m) - Bet with TABtouch
1 ZOSIMUS was placed in three runs over the winter, which included a maiden win at Pinjarra. Has trialled since and is well drawn in two. 3kg claim helps also.
2 TRIPLE EVENT toughed it out to break maiden last start at Northam (Sept 7). Will find this more difficult but is rock hard fit. Place claims.
3 IF ONLY resumes off one trial. Prefer others.
4 WATTO’S FURY scratched
5 LA MOULINE lengthened nicely when third in lead-up trial over 1000m at Belmont (Sept 18). Won maiden well back in February and is sure to get favours from barrier three.
6 VEGA DIOR was tested when lead over 1400m at Belmont last start (Sept 23). Back to 1200m here should see better run.
7 MORE BXAAR maiden winner at Kalgoorlie back in July. Trialled September 26 at Lark Hill. Has talent and can run a cheeky race.
8 FIRE ANT no match for rivals when resuming. This is easier, but place claims appear best.
9 SHOWCASE won like a good thing over 1000m at Northam on debut (Aug 17). Step up in distance looks ideal and Pike rides.
10 IMPRESSZAR three months in between runs. Will get better over further.

Race 6 – 5:00 Perth Racing Club Membership Handicap (1,400m) - Bet with TABtouch
1 NEW TIME produced another game performance when third to General Husson last start (13/9). One of the leading contenders here again, but is drawn awkwardly in outside barrier.
2 L’RONDINE resumed with fifth-placed finish at Carnarvon (Sept 16). Likely to find this too tough.
3 NEXT CONTESTANT returns after six week break. Produced a number of admirable runs in Broome earlier in the year. All were over a mile however and is likely to need this.
4 NIGHT VOYAGE came with a quality rails run to salute last start at Northam (Sept 28). Twice a winner at the distance and ready for this challenge now. Pike sticks.
5 PLANETS ALIGN scratched.
6 PARADING beaten odds-on favourite last start at Northam (Sept 14). Should figure here and best is good enough to win this, but will need luck from gate 10.
7 STRIKING STAR resumes following one trial. Sure to find best later in campaign over further ground.
8 COOL KNIGHT just an even run when returning last start off two month break behind Yeah Dardy at Belmont (Sept 13). Should be fitter for the effort and one to consider for the multiples.
9 KOSTYAZILCH resumes off no trial following three month spell. Will get better over further ground.
10 RULING ANGEL scratched.
11 VITAL RESERVE came home okay up the rail when four-lengths fourth behind Multiverse last start. Sizeable jump in grade here and place chance best.

1 TOO CLEVER lead and nailed late at previous two runs at Kalgoorlie. Will have work to do from outside alley but sure to give them something to chase.
2 FIREMAKER resumes off one trial. Last campaign saw some good results, but expect will need the run here.
3 SLIK SAM resumes after three months off. First-up record reads two wins from three starts. Could surprise.
4 COUNT TOMOZ OFF found the 1300m a bridge too far last start when fourth behind General Husson (Sept 13). Back to favoured trip here and can bounce back at value.
5 MR UNDERCOVER scratched.
6 FATHER KNICK a lot went wrong last start and still proved too good over 1000m at Belmont (Sept 13). Fitter now third-up and nicely drawn in barrier two. Can go on with it here.
7 QUEEN TORI resumes without a trial. First-up stats empty on all fronts and is drawn wide.
8 FORCEFUL resumes. Showed plenty of promise as a 2yo and looked to have come back a more polished individual when given a soft trial at Belmont on September 18. Pike rides from barrier five.
9 CALAMARI SAFARI nice win last time around at Carnarvon but this is tougher. Claim and barrier two help but place chance at best.
10 MEDOM first-up here off just the sole trial. The 1000m short of his best.
11 MISS SOMEBODY needed the run first-up when nine-lengths off Floyd last start. Will improve and claim sees her carry just 51.5kg, but would need to lift to finish in the money.
