Perfect Reflection and Delicacy for Bob and Sandra Peters

WATCH: A new Image

Training partnership Grant and Alana Williams and owners Bob and Sandra Peters revealed the latest juvenile progeny of wonderful producing mare Reflected Image, the dam of stakes winners Elusive Image, Ideal Image, New Image and Perfect Reflection.

Named Dashing Image, he is the thirteenth foal out of the blue hen mare and is by Hard Spun, the same sire as 2017 WATC Derby winner Gatting.

An America-bred Group One-winning stallion, Hard Spun has thrown all types from precocious two-year-olds to staying three-year-olds.

The gelding made his racetrack debut in heat two at Lark Hill trials on Monday 24 April with a solid run-on third, over 950m, and clocked a sound time of 57.88 seconds.

William Pike rode the youngster in the trial and bounced him out of the gates to take up a handy position early before slotting in behind rivals.

In the middle stage of the heat, Pike was forced to give Dashing Image a reminder to keep his mind on the job before riding him out in the straight to finish third.

The Peters family and Williams team may have another talented blue blood on their hands.
