Under the Radar: Easter Saturday at Ascot - Saturday 15 April

Race 2 - 1:09PM TABTOUCH MAIDEN (1400 METRES) – FULL FIELD

13. ALLUME LE FEU

TABtouch opening price: $31

French for light the fire, Allume Le Feu is a first starter which has shown sound ability on the trial track.

The Fred Kersley-trained filly looked to show good racing smarts in her most recent trial when asked to race between runners by jockey Daniel Staeck.

The daughter of Discorsi has now had five trials and comes to the races with above average experience.

There was a lot to like about the way she hit the line too.

Race 6 - 3:45PM VALE IRENE LUGG HANDICAP (1400 METRES) – FULL FIELD

9. OUR MATE AL

TABtouch opening price: $16

Our Mate Al won second up over 1400m last preparation and beat a handy grey gelding called Candlelight Star, a galloper which featured in last week's edition of “Under the Radar” and got the cash at handsome each-way odds.

This race looks to be perfectly set up for the six-year-old with speed to burn from Senso, Woodsville and Corporate Larrikin.

If they go mad in front, which most speed maps suggest, the son of Passenger will be running on late.

Watch his win from last preparation when second up (light blue and maroon checkers):

Race 8 - 4:55PM PEACOCK BROS HANDICAP (2200 METRES) – FULL FIELD

5. COULEUR BIZARRE

TABtouch opening price: $9

Couleur Bizarre has been very unlucky in his three most recent starts.

Three starts ago, Matthieu Autier found traffic in the Ascot straight when third and, at his last two starts, he was forced to breeze outside of the leader due to average barriers.

He has drawn perfectly in barrier two and should get the suck run behind the leaders.

All he needs is a bit of luck in the straight.

Watch his luckless run from three starts ago which was won by subsequent Bunbury Cup placegetter Eleven Seconds (lime green silks):
