WATCH: Madassa flies in Lark Hill trial

After trialling nicely over 600m at Pinjarra on Monday 13 March, Madassa has come out nearly a month later and won another trial in fast time over 950m at Lark Hill.

The five-year-old, whose last victory was posted when beating subsequent Group One winner Sheidel back in October 2015 on Irish Raceday, ran a slick 55.06 and beat another sharp galloper, Furious Dame.

Formerly prepared by multiple Group One-winning trainer Lindsey Smith, the son of Due Sasso is now trained by the Bouvard-based Liz Strempel who seems to have a good grip on the speedy bay.

The earner of over $300,000, he last raced competitively in November 2015 when he ran fourth in the Group One Winterbottom Stakes behind Buffering.

Ridden by Tayla Stone in heat four, the gelding beat some handy Saturday class horses in Zuccheros, Black Dynamite, Profit Street and Astronomite.
