Race 4 - 2:10PM SHEILA GWYNNE CLASSIC (1400 METRES) – FULL FIELD
3. KENSINGTON ABBEY
TABtouch opening price: $8
Kensington Abbey returns to a distance she loves, 1400m.
Her run last start in the Marjorie Charleson Classic was good without being spectacular but 1200m was simply too short.
The daughter of Blackfriars carries a very good record over 1400m at Ascot which reads three starts for two wins while her fourth up record stands at three starts for one win and a second.
This is what she is capable of (grey and orange silks):
Race 5 - 2:50PM RED SHOE SOCIETY HANDICAP (1200 METRES) – FULL FIELD
6. CANDLELIGHT STAR
TABtouch opening price: $12
Candlelight Star showed a lot promise last preparation but may have had enough towards the end of his campaign.
The lightly-raced gelding comes into the event off nearly a two-month let up and should be fresh enough to run a bold race from barrier five.
Jerry Noske would have had the choice between riding this galloper and Roy Rogers’ other runner Potent Secret.
Potent Secret is a Listed winner so Jerry choosing this six-year-old grey is a good push.

Race 6 - 3:35PM REAL ICED TEA CO HANDICAP (1600 METRES) – FULL FIELD
8. PUSHIN’ SHAPES
TABtouch opening price: $8.50
Pushin’ Shapes seems to be a different gelding this preparation after winning impressively first up before running on well behind the very smart Galaxy Star.
Three weeks between runs should suit the son of Viscount and jockey Joseph Azzopardi rides with only 54kg on the four-year-old’s back.
The healthy each-way price on offer is appealing.
